On the second day of the 2024 Taiwan Smart Energy Week, Taiwan Perovskite Solar Corp. (TPSC) continued to draw strong crowds to its booth, which was co-hosted with partner exhibitors under the theme "Four Energies in Harmony: Advancing Toward Net Zero." The booth captured the attention of both domestic and international professional exhibitors as well as the general public. At this annual event focused on renewable energy and sustainable net-zero development, the latest applications of perovskite solar technology became the buzzwords of this year's energy expo.
On the afternoon of October 5, the visit of Minister of Environment Peng, Chi-Ming stirred even more excitement at the booth. Minister Peng, who has long followed Taiwan's latest trends and innovations in the energy industry, personally visited the booth to learn more about the development of third-generation solar technologies. This visit underscored the government's commitment to advancing the net-zero transition. TPSC Chairman LJ Chen provided Minister Peng with a detailed overview of the potential of perovskite solar cells for building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV) and agrivoltaics. He also introduced the high-efficiency characteristics of the perovskite-silicon tandem solar cell, making its debut at the expo. Minister Peng commended the multiple applications of perovskite solar technology for addressing the government's key challenges in promoting net-zero carbon emissions. He also emphasized the importance of collaboration between the government and industry to implement energy-generating solutions, deep energy conservation, and the circular economy—goals that align with the "generation, storage, efficiency, and intelligence" solutions promoted by TPSC and its partner exhibitors.
In addition to Minister Peng, Senior Presidential Advisor and former Minister of Economic Affairs Shen Jong-Chin visited the booth on the first day of the expo. Chairman LJ Chen introduced Advisor Shen to the importance of perovskite solar cells from the perspective of economic development and industrial resilience, focusing on their role in maximizing power generation and environmental friendliness. The visits from these government officials clearly demonstrate the government's continued dedication to promoting the development of the renewable energy industry and advancing Taiwan’s transition to net-zero.
The expo will conclude on October 6 (Sunday). For those who have yet to visit, this is your last chance to explore the latest advancements in perovskite solar cell technology and its applications!
