Optical storage integration applications demonstrate innovative capabilities. On the Asian photovoltaic stage

On June 11th, Taiwan Perovskite Solar Corp. successfully received the "Photovoltaic & Energy Storage Application Award" awarded by the Asia Photovoltaic Industry Association (APVIA). This award recognized Perovskite Technology as the sole Taiwanese company to receive this honor in the Asian photovoltaic industry. This achievement not only highlights Perovskite Technology's breakthroughs in the field of new-generation solar energy materials, but also demonstrates its strong technical capabilities and practical achievements in two key areas: building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV) and agri-photovoltaics (Agri-PV).

BIPV demonstrates the potential for integrating energy sustainability with architectural aesthetics

As a company specializing in the design of perovskite solar modules and the development of related technologies, Taiwan's Caesium Science focuses on perovskite materials. We actively promote the application of BIPV technologies and develop innovative building materials that can be widely used in exterior walls, windows, and shading systems. Unlike traditional silicon-based photovoltaic panels, perovskite minerals possess characteristics such as thinness, transparency, adjustable colors, and customizable designs. These materials can meet the needs of various architectural designs, balancing both functionality and aesthetics. In other words, we strive to achieve the concept of "combining efficiency with aesthetics."

In practical applications, the TPSC has collaborated with numerous companies and government agencies. They have implemented BIPV systems in technology parks, corporate headquarters, and demonstration buildings. By integrating light storage control, energy management systems, and ventilation and lighting components, they have created sustainable spaces that combine high energy efficiency with comfort. These successful implementations have become key highlights of this award-winning project, receiving high praise from the judging panel.

Using perovskite components to create a new model for sustainable agricultural landscapes

In addition to urban construction, the Taichung company has also applied peovskite in the agricultural sector, developing Agri-PV modules that are highly transparent. Unlike traditional opaque photovoltaic panels, Taichung’s perovskite-based agricultural power generation modules can be designed to meet the lighting requirements of different crops. This effectively reduces the damage caused by high temperatures, while still maintaining crop growth and stable power generation. Thus, it achieves the goal of sustainable agriculture, where one land can serve multiple purposes.

Through cooperation with the Taiwan Agricultural Research Institute and the Agricultural Field Foundation, the Taichung Dairy Science Institute has established demonstration sites in various regions of Taiwan’s northern, central, and southern parts. There, long-term monitoring is conducted regarding crop yields, energy efficiency, and climate adaptability. This innovative application model has received recognition from the international photovoltaic industry. It is also seen as a new direction for energy transition and food security.

The application of perovskite mineral has moved out of the laboratory, and now it is becoming an international focus.

The APVIA Solar Award is one of the most influential solar energy awards in the Asian region. It recognizes achievements in various aspects, including material innovation, manufacturing technology, application fields, and energy storage integration. This award attracted companies from Asia, Europe, and America to participate in the competition. TCADC won the "Solar Energy Application Award" for its comprehensive achievements in applying perovskite materials in real-world scenarios. TCADC used perovskite minerals as a foundation to successfully overcome the limitations of traditional photovoltaic modules in construction and agricultural applications. Through numerous empirical cases, TCADC demonstrated the feasibility of this approach, showcasing the high potential and sense of responsibility of Asian innovative companies. The APVIA jury commented, “TCADC has successfully utilized perovskite to overcome the limitations of traditional photovoltaic modules in construction and agricultural applications. Their achievements demonstrate the high potential and responsibility of Asian innovative companies.”

Moving towards Asia and global markets, creating a platform for green energy solutions

In the face of the global challenge of achieving net zero carbon emissions by 2050, the Taiwan Perovskite Research Group is further accelerating the development of high-stability, long-lasting, and environmentally friendly perovskite module technologies. We also aim to expand the application of BIPV and Agri-PV in other Asian cities and agricultural markets. Additionally, we will strengthen cross-regional cooperation with international material suppliers, architectural design firms, and agricultural organizations, thereby establishing a comprehensive system for application and service delivery.

In the future, as the demand for green energy buildings and sustainable agriculture continues to grow across Asia, TAC will continue to provide modular, systematic, and intelligent energy storage solutions. These solutions will contribute to a replicable and scalable Asian-style approach to global zero emissions transitions.
